Worked to create a cohousing community in Cheney centered on connection and intentionality, generationally and economically diverse with affordable housing and accessible design for families and individuals with mobility challenges, and built on environmentally sustainable design principles. Helped secure land, participated in architectural design sessions, facilitated governance meetings using Sociocracy (Dynamic Governance), and supported marketing efforts to recruit and sustain members.

Founded and led a Spokane-based 501(c)(3) over eight years advocating for diversity and inclusion in STEAM, including Django Girls workshops, the March for Science Spokane, the Spokane Code in the Dark competition, a tech career mentoring program, and security and privacy webinars with the YWCA and Volunteers of America.

Spokane NOW — National Organization for Women
2017 – 2023
Provided leadership to advance women’s rights and intersectional equity in Spokane, helping run the chapter with a focus on inclusivity and collaboration and representing it at Washington State NOW conferences. Organized and supported FemFest, a feminist art festival celebrating diverse voices, championed the successful campaign to process Washington State’s full rape kit backlog by 2023, and regularly participated in the Spokane Women’s March, March for Science, and Spokane Pride Parade & Festival alongside partner organizations.
